30" x 40" Oil on Canvas. 2009
ABOUT THE PAINTING
The shattered glass across the newspaper in the gutter resembled ice. Brief moments that make an impact on our world are often overlooked by others. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" - Oscar Wilde
Although I studied frame restoration at the Louvre in Paris, France, I prefer to sell my original oil paintings unframed due to the history of frames and the framing process.
I feel that the frame finishes the painting and offers the patron an outlet to express their response to the painting and to contribute to the completion of the artwork.
It brings me joy to see the various ways in which my patrons have chosen to complete their pieces.
