The Survivor
30" x 40" Oil and Gold on Canvas. 2022 Make an Offer
ABOUT THE PAINTING
A ketchup-and-mustard rose abandoned on a park bench. The golden heart continues to unfold, lifting past all tribulations.
Although I studied frame restoration at the Louvre in Paris, France, I prefer to sell my original oil paintings unframed due to the history of frames and the framing process.
I feel that the frame finishes the painting and offers the patron an outlet to express their response to the painting and to contribute to the completion of the artwork.
It brings me joy to see the various ways in which my patrons have chosen to complete their pieces.
