ABOUT THE PAINTING

"I haven't failed - I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work" -Thomas Edison. The color in this painting is created using bronzing powder. At certain angles this painting appears to be a monochromatic piece in shades of grey but at the right angle shines with these iridescent colors. This painting is also titled "The Idea".

Although I studied frame restoration at the Louvre in Paris, France, I prefer to sell my original oil paintings unframed due to the history of frames and the framing process.

I feel that the frame finishes the painting and offers the patron an outlet to express their response to the painting and to contribute to the completion of the artwork.

It brings me joy to see the various ways in which my patrons have chosen to complete their pieces.
