Littered Lid
30" x 40" Oil on Canvas. 2008
ABOUT THE PAINTING
A lid and plastic black straw on a pile of Autumn leaves. This piece won ArtClash in 2008 and went on tour before finding a home in the Museum of Contemporary of Art in Greece.
Although I studied frame restoration at the Louvre in Paris, France, I prefer to sell my original oil paintings unframed due to the history of frames and the framing process.
I feel that the frame finishes the painting and offers the patron an outlet to express their response to the painting and to contribute to the completion of the artwork.
It brings me joy to see the various ways in which my patrons have chosen to complete their pieces.
