A Few Rolls

A Few Rolls

12" x 12" Oil on Canvas. 2021

Collected from a gutter in the city, this empty packaging for fruit flavored rolls was striking against the grey concrete.

Although I studied frame restoration at the Louvre in Paris, France, I prefer to sell my original oil paintings unframed due to the history of frames and the framing process.

I feel that the frame finishes the painting and offers the patron an outlet to express their response to the painting and to contribute to the completion of the artwork.

It brings me joy to see the various ways in which my patrons have chosen to complete their pieces.
